Manchester DJ Alex Kidd and his Kiddfectious crew are embarking on yet another jet-setting tour of the globe, incorporating 26 dates in 12 countries over a four month period.
And while locations like Cyprus, Australia and USA may win the scenery contest, none of them compare to the sheer noise and enthusiasm of the Irish crowd.
So, with passport in hand and an army of fans awaiting his arrival, The Kidd is flying his KFWT 2011 into Kudos nightclub in Oranmore, Galway on Saturday 18 June.
Joining Kiddfectious head honcho Alex Kidd is Ireland’s Godfather of dance, Mark Kavanagh, as well as local heroes Jay De Monic and The Ace Of Clubs.
Expect an all out audio assault, complete with the infamous Kiddfectious atmosphere and energy that has saw the UK brand develop into one of the world’s leading harder-edged music entities.
The driving force behind this phenomenon is, of course, Alex Kidd himself.
From exploding onto the scene in his native Manchester whilst working in a record store to being crowned the World’s Number 1 Hard Dance DJ, his rise to fame has been meteoric.
He has played headline slots at every major UK dance music festival including
Global Gathering, Creamfields, Planetlove WKD, Coloursfest and the Tidy Weekender.
Kidd’s reputation for sophisticated three deck and efx mixing, as well as his infamous showmanship, has spawned a legion of avid fans across the globe and has helped propel him to the forefront of his profession.
With an evolving sound, and an ever-advancing skill set, he remains one of the most respected and acclaimed pioneers of harder-edged electronic music.
Mark Kavanagh has been a leading figure within the Irish dance music scene for over 15 years.
Spinning records at every major nightclub in the country as well as pushing the scene via a plethora of radio stations and print publications, today’s army of established Irish DJs and producers name Kavanagh as their inspiration.
Between 1998 and 2000 the ‘Club Mix’ man sold 20,000 copies of his single ‘Bad Boy’, a classic track he has now reworked and re-released via his MK Digital record label complete with remixes by Join Operations Centre, Scott Attrill, The Flange Boys, and more.
